New Patient Registration

Hedena Health accept new patients that live in our catchment area.

Anyone in England can register with a GP surgery - You do not need proof of address or immigration status, ID or an NHS number.

All asylum seekers and refugees and those who are homeless, overseas visitors, whether lawfully in the UK or not, are eligible to register with a GP practice.

How to Register

Check you live within the boundary area

To check if you are living in our catchment area, please check on the boundary map below.

If you have any questions please contact the practice.

Complete a New Patient Registration Form

If you would like to register with the practice, please complete our online form

Alternatively you can also register with the practice via the NHS App.

Please see the following video with instructions on how to do this: NHS App - Register with a GP Surgery Service

If you need help completing our online registration form please contact the practice and ask to speak to one of our patient services admin team. If you would like the registration form in a different language, please tell us what language you need. We will then send you the form to your email address or print it off for you to collect at Bury Knowle or Barton surgery reception.

If you are unable to complete our online registration form please come to Bury Knowle or Barton Surgery to collect a paper registration form. A member of staff will be happy to help you complete the form if you need assistance.

When you register, it's helpful to have your NHS number. You can use the NHS website to find your NHS number.

Temporary Services

If you are ill while away from home and your need is urgent and immediate, please telephone your usual (home) general practice first, followed by NHS 111. Should you need to be seen face-to-face by a clinician, you will be directed accordingly by your usual practice to telephone NHS 111 who will then direct you as needed.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a Practice in the town or area where you are already registered.

Safe Surgeries

We are proud to be a 'Safe Surgery' for everyone in our community. All are welcome.

Everyone in the UK has the right to free care from a GP. If you don’t have proof of ID or address, you can still register.

Immigration status or nationality don't matter - reception won’t ask for immigration documents and won't share your information with the Home Office unless serious crime is involved.

In partnership with Doctors of the World UK, we will ensure that our practice offers a welcoming space for everyone who seeks to use our services.

Don't have documents? Don't worry

We are a Safe Surgery for everyone in our practice area.

We might ask for ID or proof of address. But if you don’t have any and you live in our practice area, you can still register with us.

We won’t ask for immigration documents.

If you wish to register, please speak to a member of staff who can help and support you with the process of registration. Ask reception for an interpreter if you find it difficult to communicate in English.
