Be Aware Buying Fake Medicines
There has been an increase in the number of unregistered online sellers and other outlets across the country including in the Thames Valley which poses a health risk for people who use them.
Often these websites and outlets - which can also be accessed via social media - are unlicenced and sell fake or illegal products which are ineffective or contaminated and could damage your health.
In addition, it is being reported that these fake products are being sold via some beauty salons and hairdressers to unsuspecting customers.
You can avoid putting your health at risk by checking if online sellers are licensed with the General Pharmaceutical Council website which lists pharmacies who are licenced to practice and sell products. Please visit the General Pharmaceutical Council website for further information.
There is further information on the NHS Thames Valley website see here.
