Cervical Screening Results via the NHS App
Starting in September 2025, the NHS will begin sending some cervical screening results through the NHS App.
If your test result is negative (normal), you’ll receive a message in the NHS App, along with a notification. If you don’t read the message within 3 days or aren’t signed up to the NHS app, a letter will be sent to you in the post as a backup.
If your result shows something that needs further follow-up (an abnormal result), you will still receive this information by letter in the post.
This is part of the NHS's plan to make getting your results quicker and more convenient, while keeping your information safe.
