Flu & COVID-19 Vaccines – Autumn 2025
Who Is Eligible for the Flu Vaccine?
Flu vaccines will be offered from Septmeber 2025 to:
- Children aged 2 or 3 (on 31 August 2025)
- Children aged 6 months to 17 in clinical risk groups
- We are not able to vaccinate children who miss their vaccine at school – this must be caught up through the school-based programme -we can only give to child aged 2-3 years or in an ‘at risk’ group

Flu vaccines will be offered from October 2025 to:
- All adults aged 65 and over (including those turning 65 by 31 March 2026)
- Pregnant women
- Adults aged 18–64 in clinical risk groups
- Care home residents
- Carers and those who live with someone immunocompromised
- Health & social care staff without access to occupational health
- COVID-19 Vaccine – Limited Eligibility in Autumn 2025 (18 years and over only)
This year, COVID-19 booster jabs are being offered only to the highest-risk groups:
- Adults aged 75 and over (including those turning 75 by 31 January 2026)
- Residents of care homes for older adults
- People aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed
COVID-19 vaccines are not being offered to all over-65s, general clinical risk groups, carers or household contacts this autumn.
