Message for Justin's patients

It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we share with you the news that your GP, and our beloved friend and colleague, Dr Justin Amery, died suddenly on Saturday 24th of July. I am sure that this news will come as a great shock, especially to many of you who have known 'Justin' for many years and benefitted from his kind and loving care. As a dedicated, warm and compassionate doctor, he put his patients at the centre of his work and stretched every sinew humanly possible to ensure that they received the care they needed.

We would like to reassure you, his patients, that we will be doing all that is possible to maintain that high standard of care for the future. During the coming weeks your care needs will initially be met by one of our other GPs or other clinical staff as appropriate to your particular problem. However, we will be assigning you to a more permanent GP once that doctor is in place.

Many of you may wish to express your condolences and a book has been set up in our waiting room. While we also warmly welcome such messages through means of letters, cards, emails or postings on our Facebook page, we would kindly ask that you avoid contacting the practice by phone.

This is a particularly busy time as our staff try to reorganise appointments for Dr Amery and his wife Dr Bateman, as well as deal with a large volume of incoming calls from other patients with pressing medical needs. Please bear with us patiently as we also come to terms with the tragic loss of our beloved friend and colleague.
